Separate Hearing Aid Specialist License Required for Dispensing Audiologists:

(8 state) District of Columbia; Iowa; Kansas; New Hampshire; New York; North Dakota; Pennsylvania (audiologists not required to take HAD qualifying exam); Virginia (audiologists not required to take HAD qualifying exam).

Nevada does not require a separate license but does require a dispensing endorsement on the audiology license based on passage of the written and practical exam of the National Board for Certification of Hearing Instrument Sciences.
